photoshoot?

I went to LA for a shoot.
Some strange things happened during my trip.

The first day I walked to the pier.

I dipped my feet in the ocean.

On the second day Scott and I drove to our shoot location.
This is Malibu Canyon.

On the way, we saw smoke covering the horizon and soon
realized that our location was in the path of two wildfires.
We hoped for the best until we saw the soot falling from
the sky, horse trailers being packed up, helicopters circling
and fire-trucks lining the streets. I got a call the following
morning saying the shoot had to be canceled and that the
entire area had been evacuated.

On the way back, we stopped by the 911 memorial in Malibu.

I went out with Scott and his wife Erin for some great Mexican food.

And went to see their new baby Jonah.

LA County Population: 9,862,049
And while going for a walk early the following morning,
I ran into one of the only other people out on the boardwalk.
Adam, an old coworker and friend who moved to LA a few years ago.
I will take Adam up on the surf lessons next time I'm down.
I'll be the guy with a nose-plug, lifejacket and goggles.

Venice Beach.

Pile on the camp-counsellor seemed to be fun for all but one.
